Bike Trails in Canada

Canada is vast and its Provinces offer a wide variety of urban and natural landscapes, with activities to expand and enhance recreational biking opportunities ongoing. We've visited two Provinces to date. From Washington State, we traveled to British Columbia and explored trails in Vancouver and Whistler. From Maine, we traveled to Prince Edward Island and rode a short but scenic section of the Confederation Trail.

A shout out to our northern neighbors... The Trans Canada Trail ("The Great Trail") is a major initiative involving federal and provincial cooperation. Celebrating the country's 150th anniversary, it was completed in 2017 with work continuing to improve and enhance the trail. Incorporating existing portions and new sections, it's the longest recreational trail in the world - 15,000 miles from the Atlantic to the Pacific to the Arctic Oceans.
