The Will Skelton Greenway runs along the Tennessee River in Knoxville - 3.6 paved miles from Island Home Park, through Ijams Nature Center, and ending at Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area. The trail is popular for walking, jogging, biking, skating. (Detailed map and photos below.)

Ijams Nature Center is a 275-acre wildlife sanctuary and natural area with a Visitor Center that offers exhibits and educational programs, picnicking, hiking, Tennessee River Boardwalk, Ijams family home site, gift shop, and restaurant. In addition to a portion of the Will Skelton Greenway, there are 10 miles of natural surface trails. Island Home Park on three acres has picnicking, playground, tennis, ballfield, and blueway access (kayak/canoe launch).
