Georgia Coast Rail-Trail
Latest update: June 2018
Eventually the trail will extend 68 miles along an old CSX railbed bed from Richland to Riceboro. Not a destination trail at this point with two short segments at Woodbine and at White Oak. It's also part of the Coastal Georgia Greenway - a component of the East Coast Greenway from Calais, Maine to Key West, Florida. (Detailed map and photos below.)
Location: Liberty, McIntosh, Glynn and Camden counties, GA (See map)
Distance: 68 miles; 6.25 completed
Surface: Paved (Woodbine), crushed stone (White Oak)
Bike Shops/Rentals:

3.5 miles, crushed stone. From VanZant to Chaney Roads along Ocean Hwy.
2.75 miles, paved. Runs through Woodbine with scenic areas along the Satilla River, past parks and woodlands. Also known as the Woodbine Riverwalk (or Woodbine Recreational Trail), this pre-existing trail has been incorporated into the Georgia Coast Rail-Trail. Kudos to the city leaders for being ahead of the curve - when the railroad closed down in 1990 they bought the right of way through town.
